Mr. Joe Liow, current President of IMANC term will end on December 31, 2016. The IMANC Election Committee is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the President position for the 2017-2020 service term. The candidate application submission is due December 17, 2016 @ 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. Qualified candidates will then be pooled and processed through IMANC’s presidential election procedure in which the Board members will elect the president on December 24, 2016 (until filled). Please see below for candidate requirements.
- Must be an Iu Mien descendant who is at least 18 years old and resides in the United States.
- Motivated to bring change for the betterment of our Iu Mien people by promoting, developing and advocating in issues that enriched the Iu Mien Communities.
- Preferred some working and/or volunteering experience with the Iu Mien Community at large where active leadership role was demonstrated.
- Preferred at least one year experience in a President and/or Board member capacity with any Iu Mien organizations in the United States.
If you meet the criteria listed above or know any qualify candidates who have the interest of committing to IMANC organization, please send your nomination form no later than December 17, 2016 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. When you nominate a candidate, please request their consent/permission before submitting their names to avoid future predicament to the organization.
